Selected by DFK International’s Advisory Board for his outstanding ability to connect with his peers, Warren Baker, Wilson Wright / BKL, has been named as the organisation’s new Deputy President.
Warren will serve a two-year term in this new role before eventually taking up the position of President of DFK for three years.
He will succeed the current President, Stephen Bushell, and start the role of leading the Executive Board of one of the leading global alliances of accounting firms.
Warren assumes his role at an exciting time. The association is currently striving to build its membership and increase its reach from the current 465 cities across 90 countries. This will ensure that it can support the clients of its member firms through increased collaboration.
Commenting on his new role, Warren said: “I am both deeply honoured and excited to be taking up this post. I feel extremely proud to be part of the DFK community and my firm has hugely benefited from being an active member over the years.
“Going forward I look forward to supporting our President, Stephen Bushell to make sure we continue to grow DFK and engage with our members and their teams across the association in a useful and meaningful way.”
Speaking about Warren’s selection for the role DFK International’s current President, Stephen said: “I am very pleased with the appointment of Warren Baker as the DFK Deputy President.
“Warren will make a strong contribution to the association and continue to build on the good work being undertaken by the DFK International Board.
“DFK is in excellent shape, we have a strong strategic plan to help grow the association and continue to provide a high level of service and value to our global members. Warren will assist in driving this into the future.”
Warren took up his position of Deputy President at the 2024 Global and Asia Pacific Annual Conference in Sydney, Australia.
The event gathered leaders and professionals from DFK member firms around the world to exchange best practices, address and resolve familiar challenges, and connect with international colleagues.
