City of London-based accountancy, tax and business advisory firm, Wilson Wright, has bolstered its international private client tax offering with the appointment of a new Tax Partner.
Having founded and been Managing Partner of a boutique UK tax practice for 10 years, Karen Spencer-Smith will formally take up her position as Private Client Tax Partner and start work from the firm’s offices in Holborn Circus on Monday 7th September 2020.
Karen brings a wealth of tax and commercial experience gained over the course of a 30-year career, together with particular expertise in providing strategic and practical guidance to non-domiciled individuals.
Karen said: “It is an exciting time to be joining the highly-regarded tax team at Wilson Wright as it continues to build an enviable reputation for the quality of its advice on complex matters for commercial and private clients alike.
“I am looking forward to being able to help attract both UK and international private clients and their businesses with detailed strategic and commercial advice.”
Adam Cramer, CEO and Partner at Wilson Wright, added: “It is wonderful to be able to welcome an adviser of Karen’s pedigree to the firm, especially at such a critically uncertain economic time both here in the UK and globally.
“The fact that, in these challenging times, we continue to secure the best advisers in the industry says much about the determination we have to continue to serve clients in the most commercial and proactive manner possible.
“I know that clients who have been with us for decades, together with those new to Wilson Wright, will value Karen’s advice and guidance, especially as businesses and individuals start to anticipate what the post-Covid world will look like for them.
“We are also pleased to be able to offer Karen’s advice to clients of member firms of our global accountancy association – DFK International.”
The highly-rated tax department at Wilson Wright was recently shortlisted in the Single Office Tax Practice category at the prestigious Tolley’s Taxation Awards 2020.
