Adam Cramer
Managing Director
Adam is a both a Partner and the Managing Director of Wilson Wright.
In the past decade, Wilson Wright has grown year-on year and evolved into a full service, medium sized firm with international reach.
Today our clients receive a wide range of highly technical offerings, including audit, private client and corporate tax, international and UK structuring, transactions, R&D tax credits, dispute resolution and risk services to name but a few.
As Managing Director, Adam works closely with Lee Brook, the CEO of BKL, to help oversee the direction of the Firm. Adam collaborates with our Partners, Directors, and wider leadership team to bring about and implement positive change for our people and our clients.
In addition to this, Adam sits on the Board of DFK UK&I and is an active member of DFK International, contributing to the DFK community and building our international reach.
For his entire career, Adam has been advising and supporting entrepreneurs and business owners to realise their goals and ambitions. He thrives on building lasting relationships, being pro-active, and always acting with honesty and integrity.
His professional training in audit and accounting, and his commercial insight, coupled with his years of experience enable him to offer holistic business advice.
Throughout his career Adam has worked with some of the UK’s most successful entrepreneurs and business leaders, acting as a trusted adviser and sounding board.
Adam never loses sight of the fact that there are people behind every successful business and that the business needs to work for them, their families, personal circumstances, and their values.

Craig Nicholson

Craig leads the tax practice at Wilson Wright. His knowledge covers all areas of taxation, enabling him to expertly guide clients through highly technical personal, corporate, and international matters with ease, while offering innovative and commercially-sound solutions.
His specific areas of expertise include domestic and international structuring and restructuring for both business and private clients, HMRC dispute resolution, and support to ultra-high-net worth individuals on all aspects of their taxation affairs.
He has a further specialism in mergers and acquisitions, having led the tax aspects of countless transactions at all deal price levels and supporting business owners, CFOs and legal tax partners alike.
Craig is skilled at translating extremely complicated tax legislation into easily understood language, remembers the most obscure legislation and case law, and works with an honesty that both clients and colleagues respect.
Craig is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and the Association of Tax Technicians.

Warren joined Wilson Wright in 2001 after qualifying in 1988 with Arthur Andersen in London.
In July 2024, Warren took up the role of Deputy President of DFK International, an association of independent accounting firms operating across 90 different countries.
Warren has built relationships with member firms around the world and handles the majority of our international work.
Warren has years of experience working with clients from a wide range of industries from around the world, with particular expertise in media, property, and offshore structuring.
He is an expert on the issues of inward and outward investment and has worked with many firms helping them to set up operations in the UK and abroad.
Warren works closely with entrepreneurs advising them on how to develop and grow their businesses, develop detailed business plans, growth strategies, route maps through to planning exit routes.
Warren is our Corporate Finance Partner and carries out corporate advisory work including due diligence, whitewash reports and forensic work. He advises on acquisitions and disposals for clients, ensuring the process runs smoothly. Several of these assignments have been for quoted companies.
He is a keen golfer, bridge player and oenophile.

Jamie joined the Wilson Wright audit team after qualifying with Ernst & Young in 2003. He has been a partner since 2008 and currently heads our business services and outsourcing department.
Jamie has a broad experience in all aspects of accounting, auditing, corporation tax and financial management. He has significant experience in property investment and development, sport, leasing, and the arts. Jamie acts for clients ranging from early stage start-ups through to established international groups.
He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland and has an honours degree from the University of Birmingham in accounting and finance.

Nikki joined Wilson Wright as a trainee and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2008, in 2012 she became a Partner.
In her role as joint head of audit she collaborates closely with the team to service the firm’s audit clients.
Nikki works with a broad spectrum of clients, she has a wealth of industry experience in media and entertainment, tech and charitable sectors.
She has a portfolio of internationally owned companies which she works closely with to provide them with the necessary support to operate in the UK with skeleton staff.
Nikki takes immense pride in building lasting relationships with her clients. She takes the time to understand their aspirations and challenges. Nikki is very much a hands-on business adviser, she offers pragmatic advice and focuses on delivery, helping clients to achieve their goals.

Tom joined Wilson Wright after completing his accounting and finance degree. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2011 and became a Partner in 2019.
Tom supports and advises entrepreneurs and business owners across a range of sectors, from property through to technology and energy. He thrives on building close working relationships and ensuring his clients are successful.
Tom’s knowledge of corporation tax, specifically on matters such as R&D tax credits, capital allowances, and group reliefs ensure he is continually adding value to his clients.
He is known for providing timely advice and insightful management information to help his clients to realise their financial ambitions and business goals.

Emma Brown

Emma is a Chartered Tax Adviser specialising in advising businesses and their owners. She works for a wide range of clients, including start-ups, companies, LLPs and partnerships.
Emma Brown joined Wilson Wright in 2014 and became a Partner in April 2019.
As Co-Head of the Tax Consultancy team, her diverse background enables the delivery of advice across a breadth of tax matters that are particularly well-suited to owner-managed businesses, entrepreneurs, and transactional matters.
Emma has a gift of being able to explain complex technical matters in a straightforward way so that clients can fully understand the implications. She delivers pragmatic commercial guidance and provides overall assurance that clients’ best interests are preserved.
Emma sits on the global tax committee of DFK International, reinforcing her strong international links and deep knowledge of tax implications for cross-border transactions.
Emma was shortlisted in the 2019 Tolley’s Taxation Awards in the Rising Star category.
Her areas of expertise include research and development tax credit work, both international and domestic tax-efficient structuring, transfer pricing, and due diligence.

Deon joined Wilson Wright in 2015, after spending six years at a top 20 practice in London. He comes from the “rainbow nation” of South Africa.
Deon has a wealth of experience in audit, financial reporting and corporation tax. He works closely with clients in a number of different sectors including retail, investment property, software development and manufacturing.
He has also advised and conducted financial due diligence on a number of client acquisitions.
At home, Deon enjoys the open road with a pair of running shoes or a bike. And when England’s weather gets the better of him, then like any true South African he’ll settle for watching sport.

Karen started her career with HMRC over 30 years ago, she has a breadth of experience in all areas of personal tax, advising both UK based individuals and those with an international background, providing proactive advice, to steer clients through complex tax situations.
Offering strategic and practical guidance to non-domiciled clients prior to their arrival in the UK, is a particular area of expertise, as today wealthy individuals and their families continually move between tax jurisdictions.
Karen has built long standing relationships with clients and third parties that span more than 25 years. She is passionate about impeccable client service and prides herself on providing honest and transparent advice.
Prior to joining Wilson Wright, Karen personally founded and built a successful boutique City tax firm and brings to the Partnership a blend of commercial nous and sound tax knowledge, with the ability to put clients at ease.
An avid Francophile, Karen enjoys spending any spare time with her family and friends in France. She is a keen cyclist and has completed various charity bikeathons. When time allows, she volunteers at St Francis Hospice.

Jessica McLellan

Jessica specialises in Tax Risk and Dispute Resolution, particularly for High Net Worth Individuals, Trusts and OMBs. Prior to joining Wilson Wright, she has worked as a Disputes Resolution specialist and within HMRC Central Policy. She is also a Chartered Accountant and qualified Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR) mediator.
Jessica has broad experience across the tax disputes landscape, from proactive tax risk management to complex disclosures, settlement of legacy avoidance schemes and dealing with CoP9 Civil Investigation of Fraud. Her strong understanding of how HMRC works enables clients to obtain certainty and comfort in complex areas, escalation of complex disputes within HMRC and using Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) to resolve protracted cases.
Her approach offers an in-depth insight into how to navigate through HMRC’s decision-making process and governance to progress matters for clients. Jessica focuses on achieving clear practical solutions to tax disputes within the context of wider client family or commercial considerations.

Katherine has over 18 years of experience in Audit and Accounting, including three years training at a top 10 firm and more recently four years in the role of Technical Partner.
Katherine combines her technical skills with a strong commitment to providing a high-quality client service to businesses. She specialises in working with international clients entering the UK market, offering guidance on the local regulatory landscape. She strives to become a trusted adviser to her clients, providing support on a range of audit, accounting, and corporate tax matters.
Her clients range from owner managed businesses to international groups across a variety of sectors, with a special interest in technology and property businesses.

Neil has spent the majority of his career working with entrepreneurs and their families both in the UK and abroad, helping them to navigate their UK and international personal tax exposures.
Neil has over 19 years’ experience of working with high net worth individuals, private clients, and entrepreneurs. Prior to joining Wilson Wright, Neil worked for a mid-size firm, and he also spent 12 years of his career working for ‘Big 4’ firms.
Tax is complex and volatile, and Neil works with his clients to find the right tax and commercial solutions to complex business and personal issues.
Neil builds deep working relationships with his clients that enable him to maintain, grow and structure their wealth, tax efficiently whilst also acting as a commercial sounding board for their businesses, their personal and family wealth.
Outside of work Neil has a young daughter and loves to travel.

Daniel Shear

Wilson Wright joined forces with BKL in 2024. Daniel heads up BKL’s Corporate Finance team.
The team arranges acquisitions, mergers, disposals, management buy-outs and management buy-ins of private companies in the £1 million to £50 million range.
Daniel is an Oxford graduate with international experience. After studying Maths at Oxford University, he qualified as chartered accountant with first time passes. He was also one of the early recipients of the Corporate Financier (CF) qualification.
He trained with PwC, leaving as a manager in the assurance and business advisory services division after nine years. Although Daniel worked mainly in London, he spent two years in their Sydney office and some time in their Jakarta office.
From 1999 until 2002, he worked at Triangle Technologies in Tel Aviv and Tokyo as a project manager. He raised private equity investment for Israeli high-tech businesses, whilst also searching for investment and strategic opportunities.

Wilson Wright and BKL came together in 2024.
Geraint advises high net worth individuals from the UK and overseas. He delivers bespoke solutions to improve tax-efficiency for people with multiple assets and sources of income, including Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
Geraint’s approach is to understand the full picture of his clients’ finances before dealing with any specific tax issues. He has particular expertise in offshore trusts and probate but also provides wealth planning services, including retirement planning and inheritance tax structuring.
Geraint provides tax planning and compliance advice to:
• High net worth individuals
• Non-resident individuals
• Non-domiciled individuals
• Individuals coming to work or live in the UK from overseas, including from Hong Kong (using a BNO visa)
• Property investors
• Cryptocurrency investors
Geraint has been on the Citywealth Leaders List since 2009 and in the Spear’s 500 Recommended Adviser directory since 2018. He is also a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
Since 2017/18, Geraint has written annually for Tolley’s Property Taxation on the topic of overseas property investors.
Under Geraint’s leadership of private client tax at BKL, we won Best Employer in Tax at the Taxation Awards 2023.

With a life in business that began in his teens, Jason has considerable first-hand experience, commercial acumen, and technical expertise to share with clients.
Jason started his first business at 16, selling wheel hubs to black cab drivers on the rank at Heathrow Airport. After a brief spell in the gaming industry; he qualified as an accountant in 2010 and became a partner in 2017.
An adept problem solver, he understands the importance of guiding businesses, and their owners, through complex challenges by offering practical, commercial solutions, explained in plain English.

Katy has several years’ experience providing a variety of HR services to a broad spectrum of companies, from The Walt Disney Company to Betfair.
With a master’s degree in human resource management from the University of West London and an industry recognised MCIPD, Katy has the expertise to provide informed, practical HR advice.
She helps to drive staff development at Wilson Wright through training and support. She also takes an active part in attracting and recruiting talented new members to the practice.

Danielle has a wide range of private client experience, including but not limited to non-resident and/or non-domiciled individuals, buy-to-let landlords, business owners and high net worth families. Outside of work, Danielle’s main passion is travel (particularly to off-the-beaten-track destinations), and she spent a year travelling the world before joining Wilson Wright.

Byron joined Wilson Wright from C. Hoare & Co. bank. He is passionate about delivering a high-level of customer service to all his clients.
Byron has spent over 30 years dealing with a variety of tax and wealth issues both at the bank and with HMRC, relishing the range of tax scenarios he experienced. As a result, he is driven to be in tune with his clients’ financial and family circumstances so that he can provide simple and sensible wealth structuring. Byron has dealings with a wide range of clients but has concentrated mostly on independent wealth and the entertainment, literary, public relations and property sectors.
He believes that if customer service levels are at the heart of the work, the rest will follow. This will inevitably mean bringing in other experts in various scenarios. He has the skill of being able to see the bigger picture.
Outside work Byron loves to spend time with his large family and small dog, in between volunteering at the Science Museum and being awful at golf.

She specialises in advising High Net Worth individuals and families on all aspects of their tax affairs, with a particular focus on complex international matters such as residence, domicile, and offshore wealth structuring.
Sharlene prides herself on forging strong relationships with clients, navigating complex technical matters and finding practical solutions for her clients.
She is a member of both the Association of Taxation Technicians and the Chartered Institute of Taxation, and she currently volunteers for both as a member of their joint New Tax Professionals Committee.
Outside of work, Sharlene enjoys DIY, city breaks and spending time with her young family.

Wilson Wright joined forces with BKL in 2024.
Lindsay House is a trust and estate practitioner with over 25 years’ experience of working in the specialist field of trusts, landed estates, probate and charities.
Lindsay advises trustees on all aspects of accounting, tax compliance and administration. Her focus on building strong working relationships with the trustees, beneficiaries and their advisers often means she is seen as an extension to the family office.
Lindsay also deals with all aspects of probate compliance and accounting and is used to liaising with and reporting directly to the executors and family members.
Lindsay House has worked on several high profile cases, including preparing forensic accounts and reports directly for the Law Society for use in court cases involving trustee fraud. She has also acted for several well-known high profile families, advising on their trust structures and landed estate interests. Attention to detail is a key component of Lindsay’s work ethic.

Wilson Wright merged with BKL in 2024.
As one of BKL’s senior trust and estate practitioners, Ryan combines complex advisory work on UK and offshore trusts with broad tax advisory experience. Ryan’s expertise covers all areas of trusts, with specialisms in offshore trusts, non-UK trustees, landed estates, employment related trusts and the HMRC Trust Registration Service. He has experience of complex structuring involving trusts, foundations, corporate groups and other hybrid and offshore entities.
In guiding private clients through succession planning, Ryan balances the sensitive, competing family needs that are often involved, while applying his high-level technical expertise to set out a bespoke tax-efficient plan for holding family wealth for the future.
Joining BKL’s trusts team in February 2024, Ryan brings over a decade of experience in the fields of tax and trust advice. This includes a senior position at Deloitte.
Ryan’s experience in audit and banking, gained in the UK and New Zealand, enables him to share commercial and strategic perspectives with business clients. Ryan is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), ICAEW and CIOT.
Away from work, Ryan enjoys watching rugby, looking after his vegetable patch and exploring the Welsh countryside with his family.

Wilson Wright and BKL joined forces in 2024.
Chris leads BKL’s personal tax compliance team, ensuring they provide depth of support to a broad range of clients, from sportspeople to cryptocurrency holders.
With over 20 years of experience in tax, Chris is familiar with the changing nature of the tax landscape and the importance of guiding people through its complexities. As part of the personal tax team, Chris also works closely with our tax specialists, including trusts & estates, tax risk & dispute resolution and business tax. This helps us to give expert tax advice suited to each client’s circumstances and goals.
Chris advises clients on the tax implications of divorce (marriage and civil partnership breakups) and permanent separation, giving clear guidance at an often complicated time. This includes income tax, inheritance tax, capital gains tax and the effect on tax reliefs.
He advises sportspeople on the personal tax implications of their plans, including moving to and from the UK. Chris also has a depth of experience in cryptocurrency, and the tax implications of holding, trading and converting crypto to fiat currency.
Outside of work, Chris enjoys cycling and playing hockey.

James joined Wilson Wright in 2021 and brings 15 years of personal and corporate tax experience from working in mid-tier practices.
He is a Fellow of the Association of Tax Technicians and draws on his broad understanding of tax to deliver high level advice to his clients. His specialisms include advising non-domiciled individuals, dealing with residency issues, employee relocations and property businesses.
He helps ensure clients are fully compliant with Self Assessment Tax Returns as well as identifying and implementing tax saving strategies.
Outside of work James enjoys spending time with his family and visiting places of historical interest.

Her areas of expertise include dealing with ultra high net worth individuals, landlords, the self-employed, and non-domiciled individuals. She assists them in navigating through the complex self-assessment regime.
Hatice works diligently to ensure that her clients are kept informed of any changes in the tax legislation which will directly affect them.

Alison has considerable experience in dealing with all aspects of the Self Assessment system and compliance issues affecting clients. She acts for a wide variety of clients ranging from self-employed persons to high net worth individuals, non-domiciles and trusts.
Alison is also experience in providing advice regarding ATED issues and organises ATED compliance at Wilson Wright.

Greig joined Wilson Wright from C. Hoare & Co. bank in the summer of 2022.

She is a chartered tax adviser specialising in advising businesses and their owners. She works for a wide range of clients, including companies, LLPs and partnerships.
Her areas of expertise include research and development tax credit work, both international and domestic tax efficient structuring, transfer pricing, and due diligence. Kate also has significant experience of working with private equity structures and professional service firms.
She works closely with her clients to ensure they keep up to date with their tax compliance obligations and are aware of tax planning opportunities and changes to the tax legislation that may affect them.

Jennifer is a Director in our Tax Risk and Dispute Resolution team, having specialised in this area since 2006.
Jennifer has a wealth of experience in handling a range of complex tax investigations and enquiries for both personal and corporate clients such as, investigations under Code of Practice 8 (tax avoidance) and Code of Practice 9 (suspected serious fraud), tax return enquiries and compliance checks. She also advises clients who want to voluntarily disclose tax irregularities to HMRC.
In addition to this, Jennifer advises clients on issues relating to tax debt. This includes negotiating Time to Pay Arrangements with HMRC and their use of enforcement powers.
Jennifer is CTA qualified and a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation.

Richard joined Wilson Wright in 2023 and heads up the Firm’s VAT offering. He qualified with Arthur Andersen in 1998 and has almost 30 years of experience advising on VAT with the likes of PwC and KPMG, as well as mid-tier firms.
He has a wealth of experience advising on a broad range of sectors and clients, ranging from multi-nationals and owner-managed businesses, to individuals.
His particular focus is on land and property, the digital economy, corporate transactions, cross-border trade, dispute resolution and complex VAT legal matters.
Richard believes in creating positive, pragmatic solutions to VAT issues faced by clients and that correctly managed VAT processes can become an asset of most businesses, rather than a burden.

Maria is a qualified Spanish lawyer and ATT qualified.

Although she is a generalist advisor, she has broader experience in cross-border VAT.
Maria is originally from Spain, where she has significantly expanded her international network, making tax interactions between both jurisdictions much easier.

Magda qualified as an ACCA with a top fifteen accountancy firm in London. She joined Wilson Wright in 2012 as a Management Accountant, then moved to be Head of Business Services in 2015 and was promoted to Business Services Director in 2022.
Magda loves working with start-ups and established businesses. Her expertise is Management Accounting, Budgeting, Forecasting, VAT and Brexit VAT compliance and Apps cloud solutions. She helps clients to set up the most effective and cost-efficient accounting systems and ensuring the data is properly captured and proper controls are in place. She also runs ad hoc projects to review processes and suggests improvements.
Magda has experience in cloud accounting and Apps/Add-on solutions which are available on the market. She works with clients from a variety of industries, including media and entertainment, manufacturing, property investment companies, retail and e-markets and many more.
